ChatGPT Ads in Singapore, set up and managed for leads
ChatGPT Ads went live in Singapore on 23 September 2026. We check if you're eligible, launch your first campaign and track every enquiry.
What are ChatGPT Ads?
ChatGPT Ads are sponsored listings that appear below ChatGPT's answers, clearly labelled and separate from the answer itself. Businesses pay per view or per click to reach people while they compare options in a conversation. In Singapore they launched on 23 September 2026, and they are shown only to users on ChatGPT's Free and Go plans.
ChatGPT Ads in Singapore at a glance
| What | The facts (from OpenAI) |
|---|---|
| Launch in Singapore | 23 September 2026, alongside Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Taiwan. ChatGPT Ads now run in more than 60 countries. |
| Who sees ads | Users on the Free and Go plans. Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise plans are ad-free, and ads are not shown to accounts identified as under 18. |
| Where ads appear | Below ChatGPT's response, labelled as sponsored. Advertising does not change ChatGPT's answers. |
| What an ad contains | Advertiser name, logo (favicon), headline, description, an image and a link to your landing page. |
| How you pay | Per 1,000 views (CPM), per click (CPC), or conversion-optimised campaigns that are billed per valid click (oCPC). A relevance-weighted, second-price auction picks the ad. |
| Starting bid | OpenAI suggests a maximum CPC of US$3 to US$5 to start. Singapore prices will settle as more advertisers join. |
| Budgets | A daily budget is an average over seven days: one day can spend up to twice the budget, but a week never more than seven times it. The minimum varies by market and currency. |
| Reporting | Impressions, clicks, spend, click-through rate, average CPC, average CPM and conversions, via OpenAI's measurement pixel and Conversions API. |
| How to buy | Self-serve Ads Manager for eligible businesses, OpenAI's Ads Solutions team, or agency and technology partners. |

How a ChatGPT ad appears, and how it's chosen
- Advertiser name: your business, as verified in Ads Manager.
- Favicon: your logo, at small size.
- "Sponsored" label: every ad is marked and kept separate from the answer.
- Headline: the promise, in a few words.
- Description: one or two lines on why you, and the next step.
- Image and landing page: the creative, and where the click goes.
OpenAI's system picks an ad using the context of the conversation, your landing page, headline and copy, the context hints you give each ad group, and, when a user has ad personalisation on, some signals from their wider ChatGPT use. Context hints are not exact-match keywords: they guide matching but never guarantee a placement.
What advertisers never get: OpenAI keeps conversations private from advertisers and does not sell user data. Ads are not placed next to sensitive conversations such as personal health or mental health chats.
What ChatGPT Ads could look like for your business
Your ad appears at the moment someone asks ChatGPT for help with the thing you sell. Here are four example campaigns we'd build for different kinds of Singapore businesses, with the goal, the context hints that guide matching, where the click goes and what we'd track.
All brands on this page are made up, to show the format. The answers and ads are illustrations, not real ChatGPT output.

You can't buy the ad slot in Singapore yet, but you can earn a place in the answer itself. Our AEO and GEO work makes your practice the one ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews cite when patients and clients ask. We'll also set up your account the day your category opens.
How much do ChatGPT Ads cost in Singapore?
You set a daily budget and a maximum bid. OpenAI suggests starting CPC campaigns at a maximum of US$3 to US$5 per click, and you only pay the price needed to beat the next ad (a second-price auction). The daily budget is averaged over a week, so plan with the weekly figure, not a single day.
The average you want to spend per day. The minimum depends on your market and currency.
OpenAI's suggested starting bid is US$3 to US$5. Your actual cost is often lower than your maximum.
The share of visitors who enquire or buy. Use your Google Ads rate if you know it.
An estimate from your inputs using OpenAI's budget rules (up to 2x on a day, 7x in a week). Real clicks depend on the auction and how often your ad is chosen. Not a promise of results.
ChatGPT Ads vs Google Ads vs AEO
They reach people at different moments, so the best plan usually uses more than one. Here's how they compare.
| ChatGPT Ads | Google Search Ads | AEO & GEO (organic AI visibility) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where you appear | Below ChatGPT's answer, labelled sponsored | Above and below Google results | Inside the answers of ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews |
| How you're matched | Conversation context, landing page and your context hints | Keywords the searcher types | How well your content answers the question and how much AI trusts your brand |
| You pay | Per view, per click, or conversion-optimised per click | Per click | For the work, not for each visit |
| Speed | Days, once your account and ads are approved | Days | Weeks to months, and it compounds |
| Open to clinics and law firms in Singapore? | Not yet | Yes, within MOH and Law Society rules | Yes |
| Best for | Being first to a new, uncrowded slot while buyers compare | People searching with clear intent now | Being the business AI recommends, long term |
What you need before your first ChatGPT campaign
Most launches stall on the same few things. We sort all of these for you.
- An eligible category. Your products, your landing page and your ad must all sit in an allowed category, end to end.
- A verified advertiser account. OpenAI checks that you're a legitimate business before ads run.
- A landing page OpenAI can reach. Its crawler, OAI-AdsBot, must be allowed through robots.txt, firewalls and bot protection, or your ad can't be reviewed.
- Conversion tracking. OpenAI's measurement pixel, the Conversions API, or both, so leads and sales are counted.
- UTM parameters. So ChatGPT traffic shows up separately in Google Analytics and your CRM.
- Creative that fits the slot. A clear headline, one or two lines of copy, an image and your logo, with no claims you can't back up.
- Context hints per ad group. Grouped by what your customer is trying to do, not by keyword lists.
- A landing page that matches the ad. The same offer and wording, and a fast way to enquire or buy.

See exactly what your ChatGPT Ads return
OpenAI's Ads Manager reports impressions, clicks, spend, click-through rate, average CPC and CPM, and conversions. Impressions and clicks refresh about every 15 minutes; spend can lag by 7 to 8 hours.
We bring those numbers into your PULSE Digital dashboard next to Google Ads, Meta Ads and your AI search visibility, then add what matters: cost per enquiry, which ad groups bring leads, and an alert when something needs changing.

ChatGPT Ads in Singapore: questions we get asked
Can Singapore businesses advertise on ChatGPT now?
Yes. OpenAI began rolling out ChatGPT Ads in Singapore on 23 September 2026. Eligible businesses can buy through the self-serve Ads Manager, OpenAI's Ads Solutions team or an agency. Your category must be one OpenAI currently allows.
Who sees ChatGPT ads?
Users on ChatGPT's Free and Go plans. People on Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise plans don't see ads, and neither do accounts identified as belonging to under-18s.
Can medical or aesthetic clinics advertise on ChatGPT in Singapore?
Not yet. OpenAI's Ad Policies say ads for health services outside the US are generally prohibited, and even in the US they're approved case by case. Clinics can still appear in ChatGPT's answers through AEO and GEO, which is where most patients ask their questions.
Can law firms or financial firms advertise on ChatGPT in Singapore?
Not at the moment. Legal services ads are currently allowed only in the US, and financial services ads outside the US are generally prohibited. Financial tools that don't sell a financial product, such as budgeting apps, can be allowed.
How much do ChatGPT Ads cost?
You set a daily budget and a maximum bid. OpenAI suggests starting CPC campaigns at a maximum of US$3 to US$5 per click, and ads are priced in a second-price auction, so you often pay less than your maximum. Use the calculator above to see what a budget buys.
Is there a minimum budget?
Yes, and it varies by market and currency. OpenAI's standard minimum daily budget in the US is US$25. We'll show you the Singapore dollar minimum in your account on the call.
Do I bid on keywords like Google Ads?
No. You give each ad group context hints: the conversations, topics or words where your offer is relevant. They guide matching but aren't exact-match keywords and don't guarantee placement.
Do ads change what ChatGPT recommends?
No. OpenAI says ads are always labelled, kept separate from the answer, and don't influence ChatGPT's answers. Being recommended in the answer itself is earned through AEO and GEO.
Can advertisers see what people type into ChatGPT?
No. OpenAI keeps conversations private from advertisers and doesn't sell user data. You see campaign results such as impressions, clicks, spend and conversions.
How do I track leads and sales from ChatGPT Ads?
With OpenAI's measurement pixel on your website, its Conversions API, or both, plus UTM parameters on your landing page links so the traffic appears in Google Analytics and your CRM.
Do I need an agency to run ChatGPT Ads?
No, eligible businesses can use Ads Manager themselves. An agency helps with eligibility checks, tracking, creative, testing and reporting ChatGPT Ads alongside your other channels, which is where most first campaigns win or lose.
How quickly can we launch?
Our set-up (tracking, creative and campaign build) usually takes a few working days after your go-ahead. OpenAI's account verification and ad review add time we don't control.
Be early while the slot is uncrowded
A 20-minute call: we check your eligibility, what a sensible test budget looks like and what to track. No obligation.
